Aesha Briggs

Founder

As Founder and Lead Esthetician, Aesha Briggs brings over 20 years of knowledge and compassion to The Wax Spot. In addition to being a Licensed Esthetician she has also worked as an educator and esthetician for Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa(s) in the Washington DC area, Blue Mercury, and Bliss Spa in Soho, NY, Aesha has also worked closely with a team of dermatologists in Northern Virginia. With her vast experience opening The Wax Spot was the perfect opportunity to share her skills with other. She is passionate about making other feel beautiful and mentoring those who want to learn more about the industry.

Teri Bilhartz DO, MPH

Medical Director

Dr. Bilhartz is a board-certified preventive medicine and public health physician with a Master of Public Health from Columbia University. With additional training in obstetrics and gynecology from the University of Hawaii, she brings a comprehensive approach to women's health and primary care.

Dr. Bilhartz has over 17 years of clinical experience in integrative and lifestyle medicine, women's health, and urgent care. As a former faculty member at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, she is passionate about educating future physicians and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Licensed to practice in California, Virginia, New York, and Florida, Dr. Bilhartz is dedicated to helping her patients achieve optimal health and well-being.

Aliyah Imani 

Aesthetic Nurse

Aliyah Imani RN, BSN, has been a nurse for 3 years. She graduated with a nursing degree in 2019 from Norfolk State University and graduated from VCU in 2017 with a BS in Exercise Physiology. She works at Norfolk General in the vascular intensive critical care unit and also at CVP Physicians Surgery Clinic. She discovered her passion for working as an aesthetic nurse, something she refers to as "happy medicine". She values her work as a bedside nurse. She loves empowering clients by educating them, which improves their confidence from the inside to reflect their outer beauty. Her goal is to continuously expand her knowledge in the field of aesthetics to assist clients in reaching their skin goals.
